Our client is a Global Oil & Gas EPC contractor based in the North West. They are currently recruiting for a Senior Quality Engineer to work on a staff basis

The role:
The Senior Quality Engineer (SQE) will report to the Quality Director and will liaise with the Quality Control Manager when assigned as a project lead to ensure that the quality requirements are established and the resources are allocated.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Minimum 5 years' experience delivering quality on major engineering contracts within the UK or overseas.
- Knowledge and understanding of QA/QC principles and their application to suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Understanding of principles of Engineering, Metallurgy, Welding and NDT techniques. Recognition of national and international manufacturing codes and standards.
- Working knowledge of Pressure Equipment Directives would be an advantage.
- Competent in handling complex rapidly changing situations independently.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Capable of acting competently, decisively and quickly on Quality related issues.
- Thorough knowledge of the quality system requirements of ISO 9001.
- Good working knowledge of computer based systems, such as Microsoft Office.

QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE

- Educated to HNC/HND or degree level in a mechanical engineering related discipline.
- CSWIP 3.1 minimum - CSWIP 3.2 preferred
- PCN Level II Radiographic Interpretation
- PCN Level II MPI/LPI/UT
- ISO9001:2008 trained Auditor (Registered Lead Auditor preferred).
